Christmas Concert – FEFC Choir (FREE)

A wonderful Christmas Concert will happen on December 17th at 7pm at the First Evangelical Free Church in Calgary (FEFC). The Church choir will perform a beautiful repertoire including the colourful Brazilian Christmas Medley composed by Denis Nassar Baptista.

This piece is full of energy and gives a complete new colour to some of the most famous Christmas carols. There is even a fugue in a Brazilian dance style called baião and a exciting song based on a folk dance called frevo. Denis was invited to play the piano in this concert and will be joining the band to play his own piece and the other compositions as well.

The concert will be conducted by the brilliant conductor Natalie Prando who is currently a M.Mu. candidate at the university of Alberta in Edmonton and also the music director at FEFC.
