Three Little Pieces is a vibrant collection of Brazilian-inspired piano solos designed especially for young pianists at beginner to intermediate levels. Written with piano teachers in mind, this collection introduces students to exciting rhythmic patterns, layered textures, and musical styles inspired by the rich dance traditions of Northeast Brazil.

Each piece is based on a different Brazilian rhythm or dance style, giving students a fun and accessible way to explore new sounds, grooves, and cultural contexts at the piano. Teachers can use these pieces not only to develop rhythm, coordination, articulation, and musical expression, but also to introduce students to Brazilian culture through music, dance, and listening activities.

The collection includes three short pieces:

Brazilian Spy A mysterious and groovy piece inspired by Afoxé, with rich rhythmic layers and a playful harmonic flavour. A great choice for developing rhythmic control, character, and imagination. (Lv.2-3)

Feast of June A joyful piece inspired by the Brazilian June festivals, where people gather to dance, celebrate, and enjoy traditional music. Based on the feel of xote, this piece gives students the chance to experience swung eighth notes outside the usual jazz context. (Lv.4)

Baiando An energetic and driving piece inspired by baião, one of the most recognizable rhythms from Northeast Brazil. With its lively groove and strong rhythmic character, this piece has been a favourite among young students and has been performed in festivals. (Lv.3)
